“Some day our community could experience any one of several events which will render most residents unable to communicate with the outside world--and even with each other.  Amateur radio is a proven solution to this problem.  And NART amplifies this ability to respond by providing a place in the radio spectrum where we all know we can find each other in an otherwise blind and deaf world.  Regular drills assure that all members are ready to go to work without having to pause and wonder what to do first.  And it's a great group of people who enjoy working together.  Our integration with PVE police department says that when emergency response is called for we'll have good eyes and ears citywide to help police officers get to the places where they are most needed.”
